Rainforest Nature Walk - Departs at 9, noon or 3 p.m.
We depart to the beautiful Mt. Work Park for a walk through a lush temperate rainforest down to the shoreline of McKenzie Bight on Finlayson Arm. Spectacular giant trees, ocean tidal zones and lush rainforest surround us. Our naturalist guide explains the unique aspects of this diverse eco-system.
We stop for snacks and refreshments along the way.

Coastal Rainforest Hike - Departs at 9 a.m.
This 6-hour adventure starts when we pick you up at your hotel in the downtown Victoria area. Our luxury van takes you to East Sooke Wilderness Park on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. The Coastal Trail features windswept Pine trees, giant Douglas Fir, Red Cedar, and bark-shredding Arbutus. There is also a chance to see ancient petro-glyphs etched into the rocks by the areas native people from over a century ago. The trail winds along the coast and allows for breathtaking views overlooking the Strait of Juan De Fuca to the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. We keep an eye out for seal, otters, whales and eagles. Your trained naturalist guide will share the secrets and wonders of this diverse and magical eco-system.
The trail is approximately 10 km. and is suitable for those that are in reasonable shape.
Good footwear is recommended and rain-gear can be obtained from your guide.

Mountain Bike the Galloping Goose - 3 Hours
Your guide leads you through towering forests, trestle briges and scenic country vistas. Peddle at your own pace on a comfortable all terrain mountain bike. This 3-hour tour takes you along Victoria's famous Galloping Goose Trail. All ages are welcome and a gourmet snack is provided.

West Coast Sea-Kayaking - Departs at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

1. Victoria by Water - 3 hours of exploring the Gorge Inlet, Victoria Harbour and Ogden Point Seawall. See Victoria from the water perspective. Great photo opportunities! Seals and other marine wildlife. Perfect for Beginners. Departs from Victoria's Inner Harbour.

2. Oak Bay and Discovery Island - 3 hours of exploring the Discovery Islands outside of Oak Bay. You paddle through small islands as your guide points out the interesting aspects of the marine environment. Suitable for beginners. Departs from the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.

3. Sunset Paddle - 3 hours of paddling in the golden glow of the setting sun. Evenings are generally calm and we paddle along in search of wildlife such as seals, eagles, otters and sea lions. Depending on the currents and weather we depart from Oak Bay, Brentwood Bay or Sidney.
7-10 p.m. from June 1 - September 30 (in September we depart at 6 p.m.)

Juan De Fuca Day Trips
The incredible feature about the Juan De Fuca Trail is that some of the most spectacular parts of the trail can be accessed on day trips from Victoria. Island Adventure Tours has picked the best sites along the trail. These tours depart Victoria at 9 a.m. and return at 4 p.m. and include a gourmet picnic lunch, naturalist guide and transportation.
Loss Creek to Sombrio River Suspension Bridge
6 kilometers of rainforest trails that take you to the awe-inspiring Sombrio River Suspension Bridge. This bridge is one of the highlights of the 47 km. Juan De Fuca Trail.
Look down from over 200 ft. above the River. You can also visit the sea lion caves where sea lions congregate. This is one of the most rewarding day hikes that gives one a sample of the best that the Juan De Fuca Trail has to offer. For intermediate hikers.
