Experience the West Coast of Vancouver Island while paddling along the famous West Coast. You will visit cascading waterfalls, sheltered coves and sandy beaches.
This tour features the support of a mother-ship to transport you to the highlights of this dramatic coastline.
We depart Victoria aboard our luxury van and take the back roads to Bamfield, 4 hours west of Victoria. In Bamfield we catch a boat shuttle over to our base for the next three days, the spectacular Tyee Lodge. We start our kayaking with a practice session in the Bamfield Harbour and then head out to the amazing coves and caves of the Deer Group Islands
Your guide is a certified Sea Kayak guide and your kayaks are extremely safe and comfortable. Some kayak experience is beneficial but not essential and there is an opportunity for those who do not like paddling to hike in the nearby rainforests and beaches as an option. Your kayak mothership transports you and your gear to the most spectacular sites along the West Coast and Deer Group Islands.
Evenings are spent enjoying the luxury of the Tyee Lodge. Great food and fun times await at the end of each days paddling. From taking in the awe-inspiring view to dining on fresh seafood prepared by your chef/guide.
The lodge features private accommodations with great views and 3 delicious meals a day.
This is first class kayaking that will create lasting memories!
All inclusive package includes transportation from Victoria or Nanaimo, 2 nights accommodation, all meals, kayak equipment, guide, and mothership transport.

Here is a recent letter from two more satisfied Island Adventure Tour sea kayaking participants:
Dear Jeff, Liz and John,
Our recent visit with you was one of the most pleasant trips we have ever enjoyed. Your hospitality, attention to detail and constant view to guest comfort and safety were overwhelming. Never before have we seen hosts with such courtesy, competence and organizational skills. We felt completely at home from the moment we arrived.
You recall that we went to Tyee for sea kayaking along the coast. From the minute that we did our first skill assessment until we had finished our trip, you showed how important was safety afloat. Johns knowledge of local waters and his judgment were amazing.
You are aware that we are providers of special event food services, etc. As such, we compliment you on your menus. Variety, freshness, quantities & presentation were all that anyone could wish.
It will be some time before we forget our evenings in the hot tub watching the sail boats flow by and the tremendous skills that you employed in making our trip so special. We look forward to seeing you again.
Sincerely,
Gary Hendin & Lisa Staton
